John Legend

John Legend, born in 1978, grew up in Springfield, Ohio where he sang in the church choir and was salutatorian at his high school graduation.

The singer and songwriter released his debut album, Get Lifted, in 2004. The album produced four singles, including “Ordinary People” and won Legend his first three Grammys – Best R&B Album, Best New Artist, and Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.

In 2006, the singer released his second album, Once Again. The following year, Legend won the Grammy for Best R&B Vocal Performance for the song, “Heaven.”

The R&B crooner has released a total of five studio albums and has taken home nine Grammys. Most recently, he won the Oscar for Best Original Song for “Glory” that he sang with Common in the film, Selma.

After four years of dating, Legend married Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, Chrissy Teigen in 2011 in Como, Italy. The EGOT winner and the Cravings founder later welcomed children Luna, Miles and Esti in 2016, 2018 and 2023, respectively.
