Baby's first Oscars! Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum's bundle of joy isn't even born yet, but he or she has already made it to Hollywood's most glamorous night of the year. On Sunday, Feb. 24, the Magic Mike actor and his pregnant wife, both 32, walked their first red carpet since announcing in December that they are expecting their first child later this year.
Dewan-Tatum glowed as she showed off her growing baby bump in a body-hugging black lace Rachel Roy gown with cap sleeves and a deep V-neck. Her husband, who is scheduled to perform in the Academy Awards' opening number — "With Seth MacFarlane [as host], you don't know what can happen," he joked — was sexy as always in a classic black tux.
The beaming couple gushed to E!'s Ryan Seacrest about what Tatum called his "greatest production yet," their soon-to-be baby boy or girl. "Very posh child we have here," Dewan-Tatum quipped. "I have a few more months [to go]…I'm walking the carpet trying to keep it together tonight."
The lovebirds' glam appearance at the Oscars caps a big year for Tatum. And things show no sign of slowing down. "We're going to have the baby in London while I'm shooting," he told Seacrest. "There won't be any downtime whatsoever."
The happy couple — who met on the set of Step Up in 2006 and married in Malibu, Calif., in 2009 — announced their baby news in December and are "over the moon about becoming parents," a source told Us Weekly. Tatum, in particular, has "been wanting this a long time."
The actor recently opened up about his wife's pregnancy to E! News. "I think it's one of the sexiest things ever!" the proud papa-to-be raved.
