Jenna Dewan

Jenna Dewan is an actress and dancer best known for starring as Nora Clark in Step Up and for her roles in The Rookie, Witches of East End and Supergirl. Dewan was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and spent much of her childhood moving around the country before settling in Texas. She attended Grapevine High School, where she was involved in cheerleading, and later enrolled at the University of Southern California.

Dewan began her entertainment career as a backup dancer for artists including Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliott before transitioning into acting. Her breakthrough came in 2006 when she starred opposite Channing Tatum in Step Up (2006). The film’s success helped launch her acting career and made the pair one of Hollywood’s most recognizable duos. Dewan later earned a Teen Choice Award for her work on the film and shared a Peabody Award as an executive producer of the documentary Earth Made of Glass (2010).

In the years that followed, Dewan appeared in projects including The Playboy Club, American Horror Story: Asylum, Witches of East End, Supergirl, Soundtrack, The Resident and The Rookie. She also expanded into unscripted television as the host of World of Dance and Flirty Dancing and served as a judge on Come Dance with Me.

Dewan began dating Tatum after meeting on the set of Step Up. They married in 2009 and welcomed daughter Everly Tatum (born in 2013) before announcing their separation in 2018. Their divorce was finalized the following year. Dewan began dating Steve Kazee in 2018, and the couple got engaged in 2020. They share son Callum Kazee (born in 2020) and daughter Rhiannon Kazee (born in 2024).
