Kaitlyn Bristowe was born in Alberta, Canada, on June 19, 1985, and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, when she was older. She then returned to Bachelor Nation as one of two bachelorettes, alongside season 19 contestant Britt Nilsson. During her season, she made the shocking choice to allow season 10 contestant Nick Viall join the competition for her heart. Bristowe went on to choose Shawn Booth, who proposed to her in the season finale. They were together for three years before calling off their engagement and ending their relationship in November 2018.

Bristowe will cohosted season 17 of The Bachelorette alongside former Bachelorette Tayshia Adams. Bristowe has since appeared on the 2020 season of Dancing With the Stars, which she won with professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev.

Bristowe started dating former The Bachelorette contestant Jason Tartick in January 2019. They announced their engagement in May 2021 and later confirmed their split in August 2023.
