Exclusive: Pregnant Jessica Simpson: I "Cry at the Drop of a Hat"

Like a lot of expectant women, mom-to-be Jessica Simpson is craving comfort foods. "This week it's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted," she told Rachael Ray on the Dec. 12 episode. "And then, I'll put some salt on my hand like I'm taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich."

The 31-year-old Fashion Star mentor also admitted her emotions are a bit more heightened than usual. "That's the one thing about pregnancy -- I'll cry at the drop of a hat," she said. "Even a great souffle would make me cry."
Despite the waterworks, Jessica "really [loves] being pregnant."

"I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears," she gushed. "It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, 'There it went. It's there. It's really there.'"
Her 3-year-old nephew Bronx (whose parents are exes Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz) has his own predictions for his cousin-to-be. "He rubs my belly. He has guesses," she told Ray. "He said he wants it to be a girl... He thinks it's going to be a girl."
But even if Jessica has a boy, she'll keep some feminine flare into his wardrobe. "I'll just put him in a Tutu," she quipped.

25She is not stupid, she plays the role of the dumb blonde. And it was gas. I dont hate her, she is funny and a great singer. Her sister Ashley cant sing at all. I am just keeping it real. Dont judge her and hate her cuz she made her own money and stop bashing her and her man, I am sure there are alot of you here had sex before marrage, and she did get married, she is now with a new man.
Of course she cries at the drop of a hat. It must be embarrassing that she was so outspoken about her personal belief in no sex before marriage and is now pregnant before marriage... Plus, her 'baby daddy' doesn't even work, he just mooches off her. If she's going to be with a guy who just mooches off her I'd at least expect him to be hot but he doesn't even have that going for him. sucks for her...he's a HUGE downgrade from her previous husband, Nick Lachey.
Who cares if people are "hating" on her or not?!? I have no issue with her, either for her or against her but this is a celebrity gossip website so who CARES if they are saying mean things? We do have a freedom of speech and at least people can speak their minds here as opposed to some of the other cele gossip pages (one in specific that starts with a C and ends with a Y!) that censor everything people try to say! And, please, that's fine if you think that people shouldn't post "mean" comments on here and you don't do it, but stop lecturing other people about it - we are all adults and every one of us here (yes, I mean me too!) is guilty of being on our computers to pour over the details of cele's lives so come, stop lecturing and get over it!!! Humm, a little misspeak re the tears...'Crocodile Tears" means there are no years, faking it. Like crocs can't really cry.

@Michelle Knight- there's no way that you could feel your baby move by 12 weeks. What you felt is gas dear.
Listen up! Every pregnancy is different. I began showing before I even missed my period. My friend asked me a couple of days before if I was pregnant. I started to 'pooch out' early. I was huge, but all belly, by the end. Some of my friends didn't start to show until around 6 months. Some people can feel the baby early on, but there's a good chance that is probably just gas, and some don't feel the baby until closer to the end. Some never feel it at all (yes, that happens). Her size has nothing to do with when she feels the baby. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! If we were all the same, it would be a very boring world.
I've just felt my baby boy kicking this week (I'm nearly 21 weeks now), but I know the sex of the baby since I was 3 months along... Wondering if they'll wait until the birth to tell the sex of the baby...

@TinaleeMackenzie I so agree with you. if these commenters can't say nice things they should zip it. So what that she didn't start feeling the baby move until she was 6 months along that's actually quite common in a first pregnancy
