It’s Corey Simms’ lot in life to be surrounded by cute little girls! After welcoming twin daughters Ali and Aleeah with his ex-wife, Leah Messer, in 2009, the Teen Mom 2 star’s wife, Miranda, gave birth to their own daughter, Remi, on Sunday, Nov. 8.
The little girl came several months early, and her proud grandfather Jeff Simms took to social media to share the first photos and confirm that the baby and her mama were doing just fine.
“Remington Monroe surprised us this weekend with her early arrival,” Jeff posted via Instagram on Nov. 9. “She and her mommy are doing well. I am hopelessly in love! #remi.”
Corey’s father took to his personal Facebook page for the announcement, writing, “Meet the newest member of our family, Remington Monroe Simms! I’m already wrapped around that tiny little finger.”
Corey and Miranda wed in June 2013, two years after his divorce from Messer. The Teen Mom, 23, later married Jeremy Calvert, with whom she shares daughter, Addie, 2. They divorced this past year. And in October, Us Weekly exclusively spoke with Messer after Corey was granted primary custody of their 5-year-old twins.
“I have done so much to become a better person,” Messer, who underwent a 30-day stint in rehab to combat her depression, told Us. “It was like a slap in the face at the time.”
Though Messer and Corey co-parent their twins, the tension between the two has reached new heights this year after he fought her for custody, accused her of a prescription pill problem, and she revealed that he had cheated on Miranda with her.
