The wait for the Hollywood wedding of the decade goes on . . . and on. In a rare moment of candor with paparazzi, Angelina Jolie squashed the latest rumors that she and fiance Brad Pitt have already wed in secret. The new rumors surfaced after Jolie, 37, stepped out in both L.A. and Africa wearing a gold band, not her diamond engagement ring.
TMZ photographers and videographers caught Jolie for a moment and asked point-blank: "Is that a wedding ring, Angelina?" Replied actress, director and mother of six Jolie: "No, it's not."
Jolie, with the much-discussed gold band, visited a rescue camp in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday, March 25 to meet with survivors of sexual violence. "I wake up in the morning as a mom, and I turn on the news like everybody else, and I see what's happening. I want to be part of the world in a positive way," said Jolie, special envoy of the United Nations' refugee agency.
After seven years together, she and Pitt, 49, confirmed their engagement back in April 2012. Pitt proposed with a ring he helped design himself, featuring an emerald-cut diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds, worth an estimated $500,000.
