Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt went to Subway together this weekend.

But did they get a $5 footlong? World-famous couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie proved that they were just like Us this past weekend, when they stopped by a Subway shop in Glendale, Calif., to pick up some sandwiches for their family of eight.

The husband and wife dressed casually for the low-key outing, with Jolie, 40, in her trademark black skinny jeans, a boatneck striped shirt, and flats. Her man, 51, dressed in slacks and a button-down shirt, topped by a panama hat.

According to TMZ, the couple took advantage of the discount menu, with the site reporting that the superstar lovebirds picked up grub for themselves and their six kids. Their selections reportedly included two Meatball Marinara footlongs, kids’ meals for their younger ones, and a chicken teriyaki sandwich. The site reported that their total came out to $44, and Pitt left the sandwich man with a plush $6 tip. (When was the last time you tipped a sandwich artist at Subway?)

One employee at the shop told local CBS affiliate KCAL9 that the entire place was starstruck by the couple’s surprise stop.

“My co-worker went to the back to tell my manager, ‘Did you see who’s in the front?’ And she was like, ‘No,'” Subway employee Grisell Gonzalez told the outlet. “She was like, ‘It’s Angelina and Brad Pitt!’ She’s like, ‘Is it really them?'”

While Hollywood’s royal couple met with real-life royals last month, the two have remained committed to giving their kids a semblance of normalcy despite the constant hullabaloo over their lives.

As previously reported by Us, the husband-and-wife duo celebrated the 7th birthday of their twins, Vivienne and Knox this past Sunday, July 12, at an ice-skating bash in L.A.’s Van Nuys neighborhood. Their four other children, Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, and Shiloh, 9, also joined in on the fun.

“They rented a bus and headed for an afternoon of ice-skating at Iceland Ice Skating Center,” a source told Us of the party, which was also attended by a few of the twins’ friends. “Knox and Viv were bundled up with snow hats and mittens. They were really excited about it.”

Meanwhile, the pair are rapidly approaching their first wedding anniversary together, which will take place next month. The A-listers shocked the world last August after confirming that they had wed (finally!) in a secret ceremony on their estate Chateau Miraval in France. “It was a nondenominational civil ceremony,” a spokesperson said at the time. “It was very much a family affair.”
