Ben Woolf has died at the age of 34

American Horror Story: Freak Show actor Ben Woolf passed away at the age of 34 following a car accident in Los Angeles last week, TMZ reports. According to the site, Woolf, who played Meep on the hit show, died from a stroke on Monday, Feb. 23, after being heavily sedated for less than a week at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The actor was sideswiped by a car in Hollywood on Thursday, Feb. 19 and was rushed to the hospital and placed in critical condition.

According to TMZ, the late actor was reportedly jaywalking when he was clipped by an SUV’s side mirror. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly not ticketed.

"We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben,” the actor’s family told TMZ in a statement. “He touched so many hearts in his 34 years."
