The picture-perfect family walked the red carpet together before making their way into Hammerstein Ballroom. The rapper, 46, looked dapper in a tux, while their adorable 4-year-old wore a black feathered frock and matching flats.

“As long as I can remember, fashion has always been a part of my life. Its effect on me actually started before I was born,” Beyonce told the crowd in her acceptance speech. “When we were starting out in Destiny’s Child, high-end labels, they didn’t want to dress four black, country, curvy girls. And we couldn’t afford designer dresses and couture. My mother [Tina Knowles] was rejected from every showroom in New York. But like my grandmother, she used her talent and her creativity to give her children their dreams.”

As previously reported, fashion designer Rachel Roy was also in attendance on Monday night. Roy posted a photo about her “good hair” in April, which caused fans to think that she was “Becky with the good hair” from Beyonce’s song “Sorry,” which is about a marital affair. She later denied being Becky in a statement.

Beyonce has made no mention of Roy since the incident. She’s been busy performing on her Formation World Tour and promoting her second visual album, Lemonade. She next will take the stage at Citi Field in Queens, New York, on Tuesday.
