Well, this would be quite the drama. Billy Bob Thornton told Playboy in a new interview that he wants to work with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s estranged husband Brad Pitt.

“This might surprise people, but I’d love to do a movie with Brad Pitt,” Thornton said. “I think we’d be great together. We’d play a couple of Southern guys.”

As fans are well aware, Jolie and Thornton were married for three years before divorcing in 2003. During their time together, the pair caused quite a scene, wearing vials of each other’s blood around their necks, getting tattoos of one another’s names and admitting to having sex in limos while en route to red carpet events. After their split, Jolie went on to marry longtime boyfriend Brad Pitt in August 2014 only to file for divorce from the World War Z star this past September. The estranged spouses are currently in the middle of a headline-making custody battle, with both actors seeking joint custody of their six children. Pitt was recently cleared by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services after being investigated over an alleged altercation with the couple’s son Maddox onboard a private plane in September.

During Thornton’s interview with Playboy, the Fargo actor said he always felt inadequate while married to Jolie, one of the world’s most beautiful and successful women.

“I always felt beneath her and if you’re living a life with someone you feel you’re beneath, that’s not good for either of you,” he said, adding that they are, however, still friends.

While the exes “don’t talk on a regular basis,” Thornton said, they’ll always be there for each other.

“That won’t ever go away. Sometimes I won’t see her for five years. But I offer. I know she’s been through a lot,” he told the mag. “She’s a great person. And she’s one of the people who didn’t abandon me. She never has.”
