Carey Mulligan and Marcus Mumford had that unmistakable newlywed glow at Monday night's Met Gala in NYC.
The 26-year-old Drive actress, who dazzled in a futuristic silver and gold halter gown by Prada, spent the evening with her arm wrapped around her Mumford & Sons rocker husband. The event marked their first red carpet appearance as a married couple.
On April 21, Mulligan and Mumford tied the knot in front of approximately 100 guests, including family and celeb pals like Sienna Miller, Colin Firth and Jake Gyllenhaal. They were together just five months before the 25-year-old musician popped the question in August 2011.
At the ceremony held on a farm in Somerset, England, Mulligan wore a custom-made cream Prada gown with pink Wellington rain boots. The bridesmaids also wore Prada dresses in different shades of blue.
"They're a great couple," a pal has told Us Weekly of the duo who were childhood pen pals in London. "Very sweet."
Oscar-nominated Mulligan split with longtime beau Shia LaBeouf back in October 2010; Mumford broke up with singer Laura Marling in late 2010.
