Channing Tatum is grieving after the death of his beloved goat, Heather. The Hateful Eight actor took to Instagram on Tuesday, January 26, to mourn his late pet in a sweet photo featuring his little daughter, Everly.

“Girl and her goat,” Tatum, 35, captioned an artistic black-and-white snap of Everly, 2, standing in the light with Heather. “RIP Heather. You had a damn good long run sweets.”

As fans likely know, the actor is the proud owner of multiple pets, including a rescue horse named Smoke. Tatum introduced the gentle creature last summer via Instagram. “He loves beer!” the Magic Mike XXL star joked at the time. “To be clear, he just loves the smell.”

The star and his wife, Jenna Dewan Tatum, are both outspoken animal lovers and proud parents to a lab mix named Lucy. Of course, there’s also their little girl, Everly, who has taken after her parents in some ways.

In an interview with Us Weekly last September, Dewan Tatum said Everly has already adopted her parents’ love of dance. “All we do is dance to Frozen, and it’s fun,” the proud mom, 35, told Us at the So You Think You Can Dance finale in September. “She loves it. It’s so crazy how much kids pick up. She knows that — she’s only been to one dance rehearsal, but she knows. She’s like, ‘Mommy dances tonight.’ It’s there. It’s really cool.”

Little Everly can be anything in life — and she has her parents’ full support. “I’m going to let her have whatever future she wants to have. I’m not going to push anything,” Dewan Tatum shared with Us. “I would be thrilled for her to have a passion in anything. Obviously, if it was dance, it would just be something that would be in my wheelhouse. I just want her to be happy and passionate about something in life. That would make me happy.”
