According to the Los Angeles Times, officers responded to a woman’s call for help at 3 a.m. local time on Tuesday after she claimed the “Grass Ain’t Greener” singer, 27, pointed a weapon at her in a “violent rage.”

TMZ reported that Brown and several friends, including Ray J, were inside his house when some “uninvited guests” — a man and two women — arrived. Brown reportedly asked one of the women to leave, and she later claimed to police that he pulled a gun on her.

This isn’t Brown’s first run-in with the law. He spent six years on probation after pleading guilty to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna before the Grammy Awards in February 2009. He has since completed hundreds of hours of community service and has attended domestic violence classes. Earlier this year, the Grammy winner was also accused of assaulting a fan after a Las Vegas concert.
