Not so fast! After Chris Martin and Alexa Chung were spotted out together in New York City on May 6, rumors started to buzz that the duo were dating. However, the Coldplay frontman's rep tells Us Weekly it's "completely untrue."
According to Heat magazine, the two stars looked like a couple while out in Manhattan's Lower East Side, where they were "tucked away in a dark corner of the back room of the bar." Martin's rep denies, however, that there's anything romantic going on.
Martin and estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow announced their split (or, in their words, conscious uncoupling) less than two months ago after being married for 10 years.
The Coldplay singer, 37, last spoke out about the split in an interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe, where he admitted his own issues contributed to the breakup.
"This was more a realization about trying to grow up basically… if you can't open yourself up, you can't appreciate the wonder inside. So you can be with someone very wonderful, but because of your own issues you cannot let that be celebrated in the right way," Martin admitted.
