While everyone else was enjoying brunch and an Easter egg hunt, Chris Pratt was doing some heavy lifting. Pratt spent Easter Sunday, March 27, building an enormous cross, and posted step-by-step instructions of how he did it on Instagram.
The Jurassic World star, 36, started by picking the perfect spot on the side of a rocky hill, and then hauled it down the road with the help of two friends. Of course, after all that hard work he had to stop for a break, which he documented with a smiling pic of his pals.
When they finally reached the site, Pratt dug a hole for the cross, which appeared to be over 20 feet tall, and made it level. For the last step, he cemented it into the ground before taking a photo of the final product, which he captioned: “HAPPY EASTER!"
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor has been open about his Christian faith. He told Esquire in 2014, “I gave my soul to Jesus” as a teenager after an encounter with a man in Hawaii who told him, “I stopped because Jesus told me to stop and talk to you. He said to tell you you’re destined for great things.”
A month later, Pratt was spotted by a Hollywood director, who helped him land his first role in a small horror movie. The former Parks & Recreation star, who married Anna Faris in 2009, has also said the premature birth of their son, Jack, now 3, in 2012 helped solidify his faith in God.
