One tequila, two tequila, three tequila — married! Cindy Crawford and her husband, Rande Gerber, have tequila to thank for their marriage, the stunning supermodel told Us Weekly while chatting about her new book, Becoming, on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
“I definitely think [tequila is the secret to a happy marriage],” Crawford, 49, joked with Us. “I mean, we met on tequila!”
The Meaningful Beauty skincare creator has been married to businessman Gerber since 1998, and together they have two gorgeous kids, Presley, 16, and Kaia, 14. Gerber later joined forces with pal George Clooney and launched tequila label Casamigos.
“It’s so fun because Rande is such a bar guy and a nightlife guy, and then for him to finally kind of culminate his career with doing a tequila that we really just did for ourselves and friends, and then turn it into a business, [it’s nice,]” Crawford continued, before dishing to Us exactly how she likes her drink.
“As you get older, you see it the next day,” Crawford noted of hangovers, revealing she likes Casamigos Reposado “on the rocks.”
In her book, Crawford gushes over her wedding to Gerber, 53. "I wanted to look like the best version of the girl Rande loves waking up to every morning," she writes. "Rather than have my dad walk me down the aisle and 'give me away,' Rande and I chose to walk each other down the stairs that led to the beach and the ceremony."
