Looks like these two are Hitt-ing it off again! Dakota Johnson and her ex-boyfriend Matthew Hitt are back together after splitting late last year, sources confirm to Us Weekly.
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress, 25, first stepped out with the Welsh rocker last July, when they were spotted holding hands in New York City. They dated for several months after that but broke up “sometime over the holidays,” an insider told Us in February.
“Her life was getting too crazy and it wasn’t something that he wanted to be a part of,” the source said, referring to her mega-fame as one-half of the tortured couple in the film adaptation of E L James’ erotic novel, which came out on Feb. 13.
Recently, though, as Fifty Shades fever subsided (temporarily, at least), Johnson’s life has settled down a bit, so she and Hitt started things up again. Since early April, they’ve been spotted holding hands and walking her dog around New York City.
“She’s giving it another shot,” a source says of the Ben and Kate alum, daughter of actress Melanie Griffith and her ex Don Johnson.
Another insider says they “never really stopped talking,” but put the romance on hold when her Fifty Shades commitments got crazy. “She really does like him,” the source tells Us.
