Amal Alamuddin's a sports widow! Turns out even the ultimate catch George Clooney isn't quite as perfect as he first appears!
The 54-year-old actor admitted to Extra's Mario Lopez that his obsession with watching sports on TV has become a bit of an issue for his lawyer wife Alamuddin.
"I watch sports, and it kills her,” the actor told Lopez. “I got her into March Madness a little, I’m a huge Kentucky fan, so she got into that, but it was enough," he said, of his wife's sports fan limits.
"So the next week was the Masters, and I’m watching that and she goes, ‘So every weekend we’re gonna be watching a sporting event?’ I’m like, 'Actually that’s how it works,'” the Tomorrowland actor said, laughing.
But while Alamuddin might not be a fan of Clooney's hobbies, turns out her husband is a great fan of hers. Talking about the couple's appearance at Monday, May 4's Met Gala, the proud husband gushed about his wife's passion for fashion.
"I really enjoyed myself," the actor said of his night out at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, before gushing about Alamuddin's natural style."From the day I met her, she has the incredibly eclectic, sort of wild style," he said. "She doesn’t have a stylist or anything, she just picks clothes. She shows up, and I’m like, that’s unbelievable, she’ll tell me she’s gonna wear some dress, then I see it and I’m like, wow, that’s stunning.”
As well as enjoying a night out at the Met Gala, the couple had another reason to party recently: his birthday. The handsome star turned 54 on Wednesday, May 6, and while he kept mum about what gifts his wife had given him, he did set the record straight on a couple of rogue reports.
"Didn’t get a blender, didn’t get a Porsche,” Clooney joked."We had a little party," he added of his recent celebrations. "From what I remember of it, it was a good time.”
