Hailee Steinfeld stuns on the cover of Nylon magazine's May 2014 Young Hollywood issue.

The 17-year-old Oscar nominated actress dons a leopard print backwards hat, light denim jacket and pale lavender skirt on the cover—and Us Weekly has the first look. Inside the mag, Hailee wears her hair in a messy top bun, while rocking casual pink satin pants and shiny black lace-up boots.

In the magazine, the actress (who was nominated for an Oscar at age 14 for her role in True Grit) opens up about being a normal teenage girl and good friends with Taylor Swift; She and Swift, 24, do everything together from bake holiday cookies to vacation in Rhode Island in matching outfits.

When asked about the "22" singer, Steinfeld shares: "She's an amazing friend. I always get the, 'Tell us something nobody knows [about Swift] question.' And it's like, we both respect each other tremendously, but we choose to keep our friendship out of the public eye. She's a really great person and an inspiration to me and many others."

Despite being nominated for an Oscar and starring in films alongside actors like Matt Damon, Hailee tells the mag she's "absolutely" a "regular teenager."

The Begin Again actress also talked about her relationship with her mom, Cheri Steinfeld, who also is her manager. "As strict as my mom is, I have so much freedom. Everything I do, she does with me and I couldn't imagine it any other way," Steinfeld says.

The May 2014 issue of Nylon hits newsstands Tuesday, April 30.
