After more than two years apart, Heidi Klum and Seal officially finalized their divorce on Tuesday, Oct. 14, Us Weekly confirms. The former couple, who married in May 2005 and shared four children, broke up in January 2012.
When they filed for divorce in 2012, the couple released a joint statement, saying, "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal, and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition."
True to their word, the singer, 51, and the model, 41, have remained seemingly amicable throughout their split, attending events for their children together.
Since the breakup, Klum has dated bodyguard Martin Kirsten and is currently seeing art collector Vito Schnabel.
