Heidi Klum

Born in June 1973, Heidi Klum was discovered at the age of 19 after winning a national German modeling competition called Model 92. In 1998, she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated‘s annual swimsuit issue and went on to appear in the magazine multiple times over the course of her career, including in the 2017 50th anniversary edition. Klum became a household name after being signed as a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 1999 and was the face of the brand until she hung up her wings in October 2010.
Klum became the host, judge and executive producer of Bravo’s Project Runway in 2004 and earned an Emmy for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Competition Program in 2013. She remained on the reality competition for 16 seasons before moving to host Amazon Prime’s Made in Fashion in September 2018. Klum is also the host of Germany’s Next Top Model and joined America’s Got Talent in 2013 as a judge. She remained on the panel for six seasons before leaving in 2019. In February 2020, Klum returned to the show once again.
In addition to her producing gigs, Klum has designed clothing lines for Birkenstock and New Balance and had a hand in designing the Victoria’s Secret’s iconic “The Body” bra, in honor of her nickname. She has also released two perfumes, a lingerie line and a jewelry collection.
Klum married stylist Ric Pipino in 1997 and the pair split in 2002. She began dating businessman Flavio Briatore in March 2003 and announced that she was expecting her first child in December of that year. Klum and Briatore called it quits around that time and she began dating Seal in early 2004. She welcomed daughter Leni in May 2004 and got engaged to the musician seven months later. They got married in May 2005 and Seal adopted Leni before he and Klum welcomed three kids together: Henry, Johan and Lou.
Klum and Seal announced their separation in January 2012 and their divorce was finalized in October 2014.
