Justin Bieber Talks Sex, Drugs and Turning 18

He may be on the brink of adulthood, but Justin Bieber isn't ready to let go of his past.
In V Magazine's spring preview issue, the 17-year-old singer admits that while "people need to know I'm not a kid anymore," he doesn't feel "completely grown-up" just yet. "I'm still learning."
Unlike so many teen singers before him, Bieber hopes to maintain his squeaky clean image for at least a few more years.

"I'm not going to try to conform to what people want me to be or go out there and start partying, have people see me with alcohol. I want to do it at my own pace," Bieber, who turns 18 on March 1, says. "I don't want to start singing about things like sex, drugs and swearing. I'm into love, and maybe I'll get more into making love when I'm older. But I want to be someone who is respected by everybody."
The "Baby" singer -- who's been dating 19-year-old Selena Gomez for more than a year -- says he hopes to have a career similar to Michael Jackson.

"I want to be successful and be great at what I do. But eventually, I want to become the best at what I do," Bieber explains. "I want to be better than anybody who's ever done it. And in order to do that, I need to strive to be the best, be good to people and treat people with respect, and work as hard as I can. Because for me, I work so hard and this consumes my life -- it's not worth it if I'm not the best."
Despite his massive success, Bieber knows he's not beloved by everyone.

"When I was coming up, trying to get to where I am now, people were so happy for me. They were rooting for me. Now that I'm on top, everyone wants to bring me down. Everyone's trying to tug at me and take my spot," Bieber complains. "A lot of people say they hate Justin Bieber who haven't even listened to my music. They just hate the idea of me."

Justin you should have respected and thanked Kidd Kraddick in your movie or at least had a scene with your week at Disney World with Kidd's Kids!

I hope Justin is taking some acting lessons. The music business is great, but it is hard work to make the album, touring to promote the album and I'm not sure his new mature voice will be as profitable as his young voice. Acting is also hard work, but promoting a film is easier than touring. Justin should have been acting a long time ago, when his fans were more nuts about him. He still has tons of fans, but some of them are still upset about his relationship with Selena.

I have to say this little guy isnt that bad.. I'm not a blieber but I don't talk ish about the kid either. For being a kid of his age n having to go through all the scrutiny of the media/negative people and obsessive fans I'm glad he's keeping it together and still has a dream of being the next MJ.. Keeping doing what you got to do Justin!
Niiiiice Justin! There is plenty of time to party later so just take it slow and don't go crazy like all the girls did, Britney, Christina, Lindsay. Look at how washed up they are now. Be like Timberlake who has a much better career because he's focused
What a smart young man. As long as he keeps that attitude he should be just fine. I am honestly not a fan of his music because it's not the type I like to listen to but I honestly like the fact that he is so humble and of course people are going to try to bring you down Justin. It's just because they are jealous of your success. Keep doing what you're doing and keep up that positive attitude.
