A devoted fan? Lindsay Lohan dressed up as the late Sharon Tate for Charles Manson’s birthday on Thursday, Nov. 12.
“I LOVE SHARON TATE #CANCERmeetsAQUARIUS #themelook #hippieWINTERCHIC,” the actress, 29, captioned the snap of herself in a ‘60s-inspired outfit, complete with a flowery matching crop top and short shorts with high boots.
Manson, 81, orchestrated the August 1969 murder of Tate at the late actress’ Beverly Hills home. 26-year-old Tate — who was eight and a half months pregnant at the time — was stabbed to death by members of Manson’s cult. He is currently serving nine concurrent life sentences in prison.
Fans of the Mean Girls actress were not too pleased with the timing of her post, as one commenter wrote, “This is so disrespectful on so many levels.”
The drama-prone star has been off probation for the first time in seven years since 2008.
Lohan’s younger brother Michael Lohan Jr. was arrested last month for allegedly using a fake parking placard, and her father, Michael Lohan Sr., has been convicted of criminal contempt of court, and has also been arrested for DUI and domestic violence. Lohan’s mother, Dina, has also been arrested for driving under the influence.
