Miley Cyrus has had a long day. The 21-year-old Bangerz singer not only helped ring in her mom Tish‘s 54th birthday on May 13, but also took the time to clear the air after a recent nightclub rant.
On May 9, the “Wrecking Ball” singer went off on an unnamed person during a performance at London’s G.A.Y. club, telling the audience, “So I’m gonna tell those motherf–kers that broke my heart, particularly one, to suck my fat d–k,” causing fans to think the songstress was referring to ex Liam Hemsworth.
But on May 13, Cyrus cleared the air and revealed via Twitter that she was just trying to “rile up” the crowd and was “too turnttttt up.”
“Just FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y had nothing to do with Liam. I was just tryin to rile up the boys,” the singer posted to her account, following with: “I don’t usually respond to tabloidy stuff but this isn’t something I want being spread around. It sounded hateful but not what I meant.”
“I never want hateful things being said about those I care about… I was just tooooo turnttttt up,” she added.
The twerk queen left it at that and went on to celebrate her mom’s 54th birthday in true Miley fashion—with face paint, somewhat frightening animal masks, tiny top hats and, of course, martinis.
The star posted a plethora of photos to her Instagram, displaying her and her mother wearing matching pink and yellow “peace paint” on their cheeks while they sipped martinis in Glasgow, Scotland. Some of the photos show them in odd rabbit and sheep masks.
In one post, Tish looks like she’s having the time of her life while rocking palm tree eye glasses and a sombrero. Miley’s older sister, Brandi, 26, got in on the fun, too. Miley captioned a pic of herself with her mom, saying, “@brandicyrus said it best ‘My mom is hotter than your mom” @tishcyrus.'”
