Nick Gordon is grieving. The 25-year-old boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown emerged from his Florida home on Monday, July 27, just hours after Brown’s tragic Sunday, July 26, passing. As seen in photos taken outside of his property, a somber Gordon is supported by his mother, and wore Brown’s engagement ring on a chain around his neck.

Gordon, who is currently estranged from his late girlfriend’s family, is said to be distraught over the death of Brown, the only child of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston. “Nick is devastated that Bobbi has passed,” a source told Us Weekly of Gordon, who found out about Brown’s passing online.

Though the embattled Gordon has not spoken publicly about the death of the 22-year-old singer, his mother, Michelle Gordon, offered condolences on her son’s behalf. “The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family,” Michelle said in a statement to Us on July 27. “Nick loved and cared for Krissy deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart. . . .Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time.”

As Brown’s funeral is planned for Saturday in Georgia, the investigation into her death is ongoing. Last month, Gordon was sued for $10 million by Brown’s conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, on her behalf. The complaint alleged that Gordon assaulted his live-in girlfriend hours before she was found unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31. The suit also claims Gordon withdrew funds from Brown’s bank account without her permission.

Those closest to Brown are just trying to make it through another day. “Krissy was and is an angel,” Bobby Brown told Us in a statement issued by his lawyer on Monday. “I am completely numb at this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable.”
