Nick Lachey "Upset" About Jessica Simpson's Dog

Nick Lachey is just as devastated as Jessica Simpson that their pooch was snatched by a coyote last month.
"I think a lot of people forget that Daisy was my dog too -- for years," Lachey, 35, who gifted the five-year-old maltipoo to his ex wife, 29, tells Access Hollywood.

Lachey -- who has been promoting his reverse auction site, Winnit.com -- admits he's been thinking about Simpson a lot after hearing about Daisy's fate.
"I didn't reach out to her," he says. "I'm sure she was upset ... I was upset ... It was sad to hear that happened, but it's part of the cycle of life."

After Simpson's pup was grabbed by the coyote near her Los Angeles home, she wrote on Twitter: "A coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!"

She also hired a professional dog finding service to contact 1,000 neighbors and offered a reward -- but called off the search within three days.

providence girl....you are an idiot. if jessica loved her dog so much she would have invested some of her cash in a large inclosed pen that daisy could run around in and still be protected from the coyotes. but that idiot jessica probably didn't want to ruin the aesthetics of her perfectly manicured california lawn. jessica killed daisy by being so stupid. she should not be allowed to own another animal ever. nick...you should have taken daisy away from jessica...she would be alive right now if you had. i wish jessica had gotten it by the coyote and not poor daisy. atleast the coyote could have ripped some poundage off of jessica's big fat ass.
Anon 4:27 am: When people write like a 10 year old with attitude I respond in kind (full of crap? etc). I don't get what difference does it make WHY the coyotes are there. They are going to eat what they will get their paws on...This is not a criticism of the residents of CA this time, but that is ridiculous to expect people to walk with their pet 3 feet away from them. It surprises me that the city doesn't do something about the coyote situation if overpopulous and starving. You all need to petition to destroy the animals. Let some hunters into the canyons and your problem could be solved pretty damm quickly. I am sure that is an evil thought to liberal folks but it is either your "beloved domestic pet" or (as you said when you were attacking me) someone's "first baby", etc. If you want to fix the situation, clamor City Hall; the residents should not have to put up with a terminal problem like that. Totally wish they were still married!!!! Cutest couple ever! I think their marriage being in the limelight is what broke them up, i feel bad for them because if they were regular people maybe their marriage wouldve had a better chance! LOVE both of them and wish them the best! So sad about little Daisy...it was like the last piece of their marriage....and now its gone! My prayers go out to them not only for healing over losing Daisy but their marriage also! So sad!
This picture really reminds me about the huge chemistry these two really had together. I hope thay don't get back together. I really liked Nick. I thought he was very sweet ot her in the show. And besides she has really been very loose these past few years. She really looks used and hard. Nick looks good. He seems nice. She seems like an opportunist. I don;t trust her. Good luck Nick!

I am not a fan of either of them, only poor Daisy, but, it would have been the decent thing to do, since he gave her the little dog to at least call and say he was sorry. And I will defend her as an animal lover myself, she loved Daisy or she wouldn't have been with her EVERYWHERE, she have been with pet sitters like other celeb's dogs. Daisy had a horrible end but a much loved life. I am still mourning the loss of my cat 5 years ago, so lay off her people. YOU are the dumb ones that are unable to know the love of a beloved pet that you would do anything for.
