Heather Locklear Hospitalized for Abusing Prescription Drugs, Alcohol

Melrose Place actress Heather Locklear was rushed to the hospital by ambulance Wednesday afternoon, Us Weekly can confirm.
"At 2:05pm we responded to a call on North Ranch," a spokesperson for the Ventura Country Sheriff's Department tells Us. "One patient was transported to Los Robles Hospital for a medical emergency."

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the 50-year-old actress had taken a combination of prescription drugs and alcohol. Locklear's sister called the paramedics, who decided the TV star needed to be hospitalized.

Locklear, who recently called off her engagement with Jack Wagner, was last seen cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center Tuesday.
