No time for tears! Rosie O'Donnell ended her second run on The View with a short and very straight-forward goodbye. In the final seconds of her last episode on Thursday, Feb. 12, she appeared on-screen with her daughter Dakota and gave thanks to everyone involved with the show.
"Well, everybody, I just want to say thank you to all the cast here and the crew, and mostly to Barbara Walters, who has always looked out for me and my life and career and is an amazing woman," the 52-year-old comedienne shared. "We had lunch yesterday, and she sends her love. And I want to thank her for making this show and letting me be on it twice."
(O'Donnell first joined The View in 2006 but quit abruptly in 2007. She returned to the show in September 2014 alongside veteran co-host Whoopi Goldberg and newcomers Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace.)
"We've had fun, and I hope we're gonna have more," the star said on Thursday morning. "I'll come back and do an occasional crafting segment, 'cause I have a hot glue gun and I will travel. Thank you, it's been really fun."
The whole goodbye clocked in at under a minute. Even so, it was more than she said when she left the show back in 2007. After an epic on-air fight between O'Donnell and co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck (who left the show in 2013), ABC announced that the star had asked to be let out of her contract early. She did not appear on the show again until February 2014.
