Royal Baby Portraits: Dog Lupo “Coping All Right” With George, Says Prince William

Prince George isn't the only cutie-pie royal watchers have been ogling over for the past 24 hours: Lupo, Prince William and Kate Middleton's cocker spaniel, nearly stole the show alongside the month-old prince and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in one of the charmingly casual official portraits released late Monday, Aug. 19.

(The Duchess' father, Michael Middleton, took the snaps himself in early August in the garden of the Middleton family's Buckebury home.) Adopted in early 2012, Lupo will remain an integral part of Kate and William's family, the Prince said in a CNN interview recently. "For me, Catherine, and now little George are my priorities," Wiliam, 31 said. And Lupo."

The energetic pup, who accompanied Kate during much of her pregnancy during walks to a Kensington Palace-adjacent Starbucks (for decaf!), William added, is slowly adjusting to sharing the spotlight with the future King. "He's coping all right, actually," William confided.

"As a lot of people know who have got dogs and bringing newborns back, they take a little bit of time to adapt, but, no he's been all right so far," William explained. "He's been slobbering sort of around the house a bit, so he's perfectly happy!"
