"Sad and Gloomy" Kris Humphries Back in NYC

Two weeks after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce, Kris Humphries was photographed landing in NYC on Monday. It wasn't exactly a joyful homecoming for the out-of-work NBA star, 26, who had shared a posh downtown apartment with Kardashian, 31, in happier times.

Later that night, an onlooker spotted the newly single athlete dining with pals at Serafina, where he and Kardashian were once regulars.
"Kris looked so depressed," the observer tells Us Weekly. "He looked like he was going to cry in his pizza, sat at the same table he used to sit with Kim." (The New York Post's Page Six reports that the basketball player, now a free agent, has a Tuesday business meeting with the CEO of jewelry company CIRCA, Chris Del Gatto.)

Humphries has claimed he was "devastated" and blindsided by Kardashian's Halloween divorce filing; the pair had a brief reunion in his hometown of Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota two weekends ago, where they reached "closure" for their relationship, according to a source.

But Humphries is still hurting. "He looked so sad and gloomy. Not the happy Kris who used to tease and laugh with Kim at that table," the Serafina observer says of his Monday night nosh. "His friends looked like they were giving him encouragement...they were trying to cheer him up."

Still, another Kardashian pal tells Us that the split did not come as a shock to Humphries, despite his public claims. "Kris and Kim spoke about breaking up many times...He was not blindsided by the divorce, just by the filing on that exact date."

34It's best they parted kris was too young to lead Kim and they were obviously not equally yoked ...... like two magnets facing off......Kim a very powerful young woman and learning to accept and embrace who she is evolving into and Kris needs to slow .... live and enjoy life .... learn to be humble and recognize that humility is actually essential for the soul.
I know Kris and yes he was blindsided. He loved her for love and she married him so she could go to all the games...invites for friends. Kris has his own money and when the lockout is over...more money for him. Kim needs to be with Reggie...THE BIGGEST DISGRACED IN FOOTBALL HISTORY..BYE- BYE HEISMAN! E needs to pull the plug on the gravy train...no one wants to watch (what was the name of that show). Bruce needs to divorce Mrs " i think i'll change my name back to Kardashian."

well, it is sad because he is in love with Kim...and too bad that he was just used by the Kar trash ians to earn millions. This family will really do everything because they are greedy...AND IF KIM IS A NICE PERSON THEN THE VERY FIRST THING THAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE IS TO RETURN THE 20 KARAT DIAMOND RING TO KRIS BECAUSE HE DOES NOT HAVE A JOB. Of corse, I am just going off what I see on the show, who knows whats what.
I think Kris is a big, dumb jock head and Kim is high maintance, in the end she may have done him a favor, either way, I knew from the begining they were not soul mates, I think her and Regie should be together. I think Kris was a rebound from Reggie, and unfortatly he is colateral damage. Out with the old - in with the new.

I think he was in it for the fame and money too. He doesn't seem like he cares and from what I watched on the show...he really didn't care about Kim. He was in it to win it...he thought he hit the jackpot when he met Kim. He knew what he was doing.

Of course he is sad..he take his marriage vow seriously.and we all sometime talk about divorce when we all get angry but most couple tried very hard to work it out and not billed on someone you love in 72 days.lol..Kim didn't even try..she only think of herself..
