Going through a breakup is one thing; going through it in the public eye is another! Just ask Selena Gomez, who opened up to Ryan Seacrest in an E! special airing on Sunday, July 21, about her on-and-off-again (and on-again!) relationship with Justin Bieber.
Although the pair have been seen together since their split this past January, most recently celebrating 4th of July together, the "Come & Get It" singer told Seacrest that right after the initial breakup, it was hard to go through it with cameras following her every move.
"I'm sure you could actually see those pictures of me being, like, way stressed out about it," she said. "And it's hard, because what do you do? Do you just wanna sit in your house and hide and not go anywhere?"
With the 20-year-old's romantic status with Bieber still in question, (a source tells Us that she and the 19-year-old "Believe" singer are "not necessarily officially back on but hooking up again for sure"), Gomez says that she's ready to concentrate on more fun things -- like finally moving out of her mom and stepdad's house! (Mandy and Brian Teefey just welcomed Gomez's half-sister, Gracie, in June).
"I think it's time," she told Seacrest about moving out. "I didn't ever wanna be forceful to saying, 'OK, I've made enough to get my own house and OK, let's blow it off and do whatever.'"
She added, "I just love being with my family and I love knowing that they're there. But yeah, I think it's probably time for me to get my own house."
