Every bride wants her wedding day to be perfect, and Solange Knowles' very nearly was. The singer-songwriter and DJ, 28, had the time of her life when she said "I do" to love Alan Ferguson in New Orleans on Sunday, Nov. 16, despite a minor and very brief case of hives.
Beyonce's younger sister joked about the rash on Instagram the next day, Nov. 17, in a caption accompanying video of her doing a choreographed dance routine with her 10-year-old son, Julez. The two performed together to Rae Sremmurd's "No Flex Zone" at the New Orleans Museum of Art, where the bride and her new hubby celebrated their marriage with family and friends including Bey, Jay Z, and Janelle Monae.
"Shout out to Benadryl yo, lol," Knowles wrote. "NOTHING was gonna stop me from having my mother and son dance with Julez. My baby killed it and will forever remain my favorite dance partner of all time. My heart will forever smile reliving the feeling [of] our lil happy feet together."
Asked by a follower on Twitter how the hives came about in the first place, she replied, "Got em from turning up x100 during our second line. I was hot, wearing a cape & happy as hell. :)"
In fact, the newlywed star wore multiple capes on her big day. Her first outfit was an off-white jumpsuit with an attached cape by Stephane Rolland, which she wore when she and Ferguson cycled up to the wedding on matching bikes. She later changed into an ivory gown (also with a cape) by Humberto Leon for Kenzo, and then into a second jumpsuit by Rolland.
