#ActualFear. At least three people were attacked by a squirrel at a senior citizen center in Deltona, Florida, on Thursday, November 3, Click Orlando reports.
According to 911 calls obtained by local News 6, a woman called for medical assistance after the animal made its way inside the center and attacked people in the activity room around 2 p.m. Listen to the bizarre 911 call in the video above.
“It’s jumping on people and biting them and scratching them,” the woman told the 911 operator. “I don’t know if we need an ambulance, but we need some care for people here.…It’s still in there, and people are bleeding.”
In audio of the call posted by Click Orlando, a woman named Stacy can be heard in the background saying: “I feel light-headed. I don’t feel good.”
At some point, as mentioned during the 911 call, they managed to get the squirrel out of the building.
“We need help for the people — it’s not about the squirrel,” the woman frantically told the operator before assistance arrived.
It’s unclear if the animal was later captured.
