Holy hot pants, Batman!
The almost always demure Dakota Fanning stepped out to the 18th Annual Accessories Council ACE Awards in Manhattan on Nov. 3, but she seemed to have forgotten one important wardrobe staple: a slip.
The Effie Gray actress, 20, walked the black carpet in what was essentially a T-shirt bra and high-waisted undies, a coupling barely obscured by the netted, navy blue Proenza Schouler dress she pulled over her delicates.
Fanning also added accessories from the brand—a fringed clutch and black sandal heels. Keeping the focus on her bold ensemble, the blonde beauty finished the look with a sleek blowout and natural-looking makeup.
While Fanning skipped the press line for the night, honoree Kerry Washington (alongside Scandal costume designer Lyn Paolo) was happy to dish on the topic of the evening: accessories. “This year, I’m loving all the couture running shoes,” the new mom revealed. “I’m a Bronx girl, so I love a good sneaker. Everyone is doing a couture running shoe—the Chanel ones are spectacular!”
