Fergie goes MacGyver!

When a dress a few sizes too small fell into the singer's lap, she made it work.

PHOTOS: The most embarrassing celeb wardrobe malfunctions ever

At In Style's A Night Of Firsts event in Los Angeles Thursday night, the Black Eyed Peas singer shimmied into a colorful Jean-Charles de Castelbajac mini that was adorned with a big black bow and a Felix the Cat picture on the font.

The only hold up: the dress didn't zip in the back and was sewed up with a piece of black fabric that spanned the gaping area between the undone zipper.

The star, 36, paired the ill-fitting number with a black box clutch and slingback pumps.
