Work those abs, girl! Though clad in her beloved black and white, Jennifer Aniston stepped out of her sartorial comfort zone on Friday, Oct. 30, in L.A., when she honored Reese Witherspoon at the 29th Annual American Cinematheque Awards wearing a teeny white crop top.
The Mother’s Day actress, 46, showcased her incredible body in a strapless Kaufmanfranco bralette, teamed with a high-waisted black column skirt also by the American fashion house. She finished the ensemble with black sandals and long earrings.
Aniston was one of a few people (including Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner, and Matthew McConaughey) to take the stage and gush about Witherspoon, both as a performer and a person. “Even before Reese played my lovely, albeit somewhat spoiled, sister Jill, she somehow felt like family to me,” the actress said, referencing Witherspoon’s guest-starring role on Friends.
Aniston, who tied the knot with Justin Theroux this summer, added, “Reese’s amazing talent, professionally and personally, has long made her a very welcome presence in my life, and I’m sure many people’s lives in this room.”
Witherspoon, for one, was touched by the outpouring of love for her. “This whole experience is just overwhelming and unbelievable, because I’m literally just a girl from Nashville who had a big dream,” the Draper James founder began. “I mean, my dad was a doctor, my mom was a nurse — there’s no reason I should be here. I have no idea why I’m here!”
Though she joked that it’s “every Southern woman’s dream” to have McConaughey take the stage and gush over her, Witherspoon added seriously, “To look out in this room and see so many people that I know and have worked with and love and admire, people that I worked with and who inspire me, this is just a dream come true.”
