Jennifer Hudson tried out the low-cut trend, but prevented a major wardrobe malfunction by wearing a black bra underneath her sheer, sparkly Ralph & Russo gown while performing at the opening of The Smith Centre for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas on Saturday.

The singer, who performed "Take Care of This House," paired the lacy look with H Stern jewels, a sophisticated half-up hairstyle and bright pink lipstick.
Hudson recently won rave reviews for her moving tribute to the late Whitney Houston during the Grammy Awards.
