Jenny McCarthy gave a glimpse of her current living situation while detoxing after mold poisoning.
“OK, I have been dying to tell you this story, because the last two years of my life have been absolutely fricking insane. Insane, OK?” McCarthy, 53, said on the Wednesday, October 28, episode of her “Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show” podcast, detailing how a toothache sparked her lengthy health battle. “Some of you guys already know that I’ve been dealing with mold and mycotoxin poisoning. I’ve talked about pieces of it before.”
McCarthy’s previous comments from March about her “toxic” jaw infection and “oozing” eye growths pale in comparison to the full story. On Wednesday, McCarthy explained she went down “a rabbit hole of doctors, surgeries, teeth being pulled, mysterious growths popping up in places you are not expecting, implants literally falling out, and eventually realizing my immune system was fighting something so much bigger.”
The Masked Singer judge was “so desperate to heal” that she moved into a tent, adding, “I do worry about chemtrails, and also sprinkler.”
Numerous visits to a dentist led to oral surgery, but McCarthy developed swollen bumps on her eyelid, which was briefly feared to be “a cancer issue.”
“It’s like a Shakespearean play,” McCarthy joked about what felt like “25,500” surgeries to help address the mysterious ailment.
It wasn’t until McCarthy was “going through medical fatigue” that her doctor considered mold exposure. She was tested and then received a call from her doctor, who apparently warned, “Jenny, you’ve got serious mold. You’ve got the type of mold that causes seizures. If this thing crosses the blood-brain barrier, I’m going to be talking to you in hospital. You’re going to start seizing.”
McCarthy was grateful she found the root of the issue, but she is still battling side effects.
“I’m still in my mold detox, you guys. I’m still in it, like, I’m knee-deep in it,” she explained. “I’m in month seven of detox and I’m too paranoid to honestly live anywhere else other than a tent.”
Weeks before McCarthy opened up about her health, her husband, Donnie Wahlberg, had a scare of his own when his plane skidded off the runway at a Las Vegas airport. He assured fans via Instagram on October 18 that he was “safe and thankful and all is well.”
McCarthy also expressed her gratitude for Wahlberg’s safety, writing in the comments section of his post, “God is so good!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
