Arm candy is so 2000 and late!
According to Jennifer Lopez, the hottest new place to add bling is around your ankles. The “Booty” singer, 45, jazzed up cocktail dresses and sky-high pumps with anklet jewelry — aka the must-have beach accessory of the ’90s — only this time around the metal is embedded with sparkling diamonds, crafted by Beverly Hills jewelry store XIV Karats.
We first witnessed Lopez go bonkers for the ankle embellishment in a white-hot frock for an afterparty during the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, Jan. 11, in Beverly Hills. Through the thigh-high slit on her Amanda Wakeley skirt, Lopez showcased the brilliant diamonds.
“The ankle bling is usually so understated itself that it can be paired with any kind of shoe: neutral, statement, a pop of color, anything!” Lopez’s stylist Rob Zangardi, who works with partner Mariel Haenn, tells Us Weekly. “It’s more about finding the right combination of anklet and shoe, much like we do for jewelry and outfit.”
The simplicity brought by her pointy-toe Christian Louboutin pumps worn on Jan. 13, in Miami, gave the baubles, which range from $10,000 to $15,000, the perfect platform.
“It’s an unexpected, subtle bit of sparkle where you expect it the least,” he explained.

Lopez adorns her Achilles with the 18kt white gold anklet, totaling 6.27 carats of round brilliant diamonds and 3.14 carats emeralds for $10,000; the 18kt white gold anklet totaling 12.12 carats of round brilliant diamonds for $12,000; and the 18kt white gold anklet with diamond toggle totaling 2156 round brilliant cut diamonds, each weighing 13.02 carats for $15,000.
