Exquisite designer dresses may be a dime a dozen for Kate Bosworth, but even the red-carpet pro couldn't contain her joy when she tried on her wedding gown for the first time. In a video on Vogue Weddings, the actress is captured at the final fitting of her custom Oscar de la Renta bridal dress -- and her reaction is just adorable. (Hint: There's hand-clapping and ear-to-ear grinning.)
"Seeing the dress, I was totally shocked at my complete lack of control over my emotions at that moment," the star, who wed director Michael Polish on Aug. 31 in Montana, says in the video. "It's a dress that reflects the love I have for my partner. It's a reflection on the woman I've become."
The strapless ivory number featured an 8-foot-long, 16-foot-wide cathedral train, something the actress and the designer decided on together. A fan of minimalism, she wanted to keep the front of the dress unadorned and simple but allow the back of it to have more drama.
The Straw Dogs actress, 30, also selected her bling at the fitting. The co-owner of Stephen Russell, a purveyor of vintage gems, brought along a slew of gorgeous estate jewelry for Bosworth to try on with her gown. "It was really difficult to choose!" she says in the clip before she finally settles on a stunning diamond head band.
