Nine months pregnant—with abs!

It sounds unbelievable. (After all, how hard is it to hit the gym when you're not carrying around an extra little life?) But model Sarah Stage has proven that, with a whole lot of dedication, it is possible to be days away from giving birth and still have visible stomach muscle definition.

Throughout her pregnancy, Stage, 30, has journaled her body's journey by posting nearly nude photos via Instagram—despite some criticism from commenters who wonder if her workout regimen and seemingly small weight gain is healthy for the baby.

"I really wanted to have a baby. But you don't really know how your body's going to be while you're pregnant—or after the pregnancy," Stage told Good Morning America mid-March. "You just hope for the best."

And put in some serious time at the gym! But Stage pointed out, “As long as the baby is healthy, I don’t think anything else matters. That should be the most important thing.”

Furthermore, the model thinks the haters should shut it. After reading some of the harsher comments—like "Where's that baby hiding?"—she said, "I don't know how someone could say something like that to a pregnant woman. I think that is so rude. My baby is healthy and we are happy."

Plus, Stage's choice to stay fit is doctor-approved, too. The model revealed that she's gained 20 pounds so far, and according to Dr. Jennifer Ashton, ABC News' medical contributor, that's perfectly alright. "The fact that she looks skinny on Instagram does not mean her baby growth is restricted or too small,” Ashton told GMA. "It has nothing to do if you can see her muscles if her uterus is the perfect size, and she has gained an amount of weight that is acceptable."
