Nicki Minaj Explains Her Nutty "Masterpiece" Grammys Get-Up

Lady Gaga wasn't the only star who went far, far out at Sunday's Grammy Awards.
While Lady Gaga arrived encased in a giant egg at the L.A. bash Nicki Minaj wore a kooky leopard-print ensemble topped by Bride-of-Frankenstein hair.

"This outfit is a masterpiece by Givenchy," the "Your Love" rapper, 26, told Ryan Seacrest on the E! News red carpet show.
She explained: "What they made for me is just a miraculous piece of lioness meets her cub meets fierce-ocity meets fabulosity meets fashionista meets everything."

And the super-duper high hair? "This is all my hair," she joked. "At night if I press a certain button, my hair grows up. I press another one and activate a color on it."
(Later, Minaj's stylist explained to Giuliana Rancic that the hair, in fact, was a wig constructed the night prior during a two-hour process.)

Minaj added that the look was all her. "I don't have alter egos," the Best New Artist nominee said.
