Leighton Meester and Kelly Rutherford had a Gossip Girl-approved reunion.
Meester, 40, sat front row right next to Rutherford, 57, at the Max Mara show during Milan Fashion Week on Thursday, September 24. For the presentation, Meester, who played Blair Waldorf in the show, looked as chic as ever in a white blouse featuring string enclosures on her chest and a structured collar. The Nobody Wants This star glammed up her look with a mustard yellow skirt complete with all-over sequins.
Meester accessorized with black sunglasses and her diamond ring from her husband, Adam Brody. For glam, she donned soft makeup, including dewy skin and pink lips. Her brunette hair was worn in an updo with her bangs blown out over her forehead.
Rutherford, for her part, who played Lily van der Woodsen, stunned in a black coat, which she wore as a dress. Her look was complete with black buttons, long sleeves and an oversized silhouette. Just like Meester, she accessorized with black shades. Rutherford tied her ensemble together with a brown leather bag and diamond earrings.
Rutherford let her natural beauty shine with just a touch of glam, including glowy skin and glossy lips. Her blonde hair was parted down the middle and styled in a sleek updo.
Through the years, Rutherford has stayed close with her former Gossip Girl castmates. In 2024, she attended Ed Westwick’s wedding to Amy Jackson. During the celebration, she had a real-life Lily and Chuck Bass moment when she gave a speech to her onscreen stepson.
“I truly feel, like, the most grateful for our friendship, and to be able to work with you was such a gift,” she gushed. “And to be able to watch you fall in love … I’m going to cry. No, truly, it is the most beautiful thing in life, and you are such a beautiful man.”
Gossip Girl also starred Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley, Taylor Momsen and Matthew Settle. The show aired from 2007 until its final season in 2012.
