Tim Gunn doesn't think Hillary Clinton is making it work!
In an appearance of Lopez Tonight that aired Tuesday, the fashion expert mocked the Secretary of State's "Jersey Shore style."

"Why must she dress that way?" the 57-year-old quipped. "I think she's confused about her gender [with] all these big, baggy menswear tailored pantsuits."

"No, I'm really serious," he added. "[They're] unflattering."
When Lopez, 50, asked how the former New York senator could "hide her cankles," Gunn said it was just a matter of adjusting her hemline. "Well, if her pants didn't stop an inch above her ankle, she could hide the cankle!"

Gunn might not be a fan of the former First Lady's choices in clothing, but he is impressed by her work in politics. "I have great respect for her intellect and her tenacity and for what she does four our country in her governmental role," he said. "I just wish she could send a stronger message about American fashion."

9Hilarious goddam clithood is the biggest waste of time in the world today..what has gotten better, safer or easier in her time as sos? nothing, thats what, no wonder she dresses like a dickhead...
I made the same observation back when Hillary was campaigning for the presidency, and took some hits for it. I stated out loud that it's too bad that Hillary felt the only way she could achieve the top job was to dress like a man. Sarah Palin, on the other hand, always dressed like a lady and, even if you didn't agree with her politically there was no doubt she was proud to be a woman campaigning to be vice president. In most other countries mature women dress like women. I wish Hillary would act and dress more like the woman she is. 'Frumpy' doesn't cut it when you're dealing with other world leaders.
I like Tim Gunn, but I thought this was a little harsh. So what if he doesn't think her pantsuits are flattering. The truth is that she works in a male-dominated field and in order to be a respected she has to dress in a way that denotes power. The clothing that Michelle Obama wear probably wouldn't be right for her. Cut her some slack, Tim!
Some interesting points here, especially the one about never being elected to her job..... even the Senator's seat was one she was given. Her "style" if you could call it that, is best described as "frumpy". I don't like Hilary Clinton TBH but can respect her for voting to send Americans to war in Iraq but didn't recant to use it for political capital before the job was done. All in all the day we judge our leaders on their wardrobes is the day we're doomed. Wonder what Mr. Gunn would say about Einstein?
Yes she could use a makeover. A more form fitting tailored pantsuit would be more fashionable. sometimes a dress with heels if she is sitting a long time might be nice. At her age no one wants to walk or stand in heels.
Oh Sandi jeez, this is a visual country and you honestly think Obama gets by on his oratory skills? His voice and his manner are both rated high by women all over this country..get over it. She doesn't know how to dress, never did. She approaches it like she's too good for it but truth be told, any HR rep would tell her to dress better and she'd go places. Its a fact of life. I mean come on, when you work - do you wear ill-fitting clothes with no sense of style? No, you try to look at good as you can...why is it okay for Michelle Obama to be judged on her appearance but Hillary should skate by?? Neither one was elected to their post - Michelle fairs well, Hillary should see a tailor and a masseuse who might be able to loosen the stick up her a s s.
why is she judged for dressing professional? At least she's covered and not over-exposed like Beyonce, Gaga, and Rihanna!
Oh for god's sake, Sandi. He's right. She has no sense of fashion. He does however respect her intellect and politics.
S T F U Tim Gunn, you just lost a fan! Let the woman dress as she sees fit! This is the problem, ppl always putting down women in power. I don't care if a person is a Rep or Dem...Tim Gunn is discriminating towards woman in general! Later loser...........
