--U.S. authorities filed a formal extradition request late Thursday in a Washington court for filmmaker Roman Polanski, ordering Switzerland to hand him over to California authorities. The 76-year-old Polanski could serve up to two years in prison for having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. [TVGuide.com]
