Edis Kayalar, 26, reportedly walked into a police station in the southwestern city of Stuttgart late Monday. He has been charged with one count of extortion in the U.S. If convicted, he could face up to two years in prison.

The former supermodel, 43, and her husband Rande Gerber were the latest celebrities to be ensnared in an extortion drama involving a bizarre photo of their eight year-old daughter, Kaia.

Kayalar allegedly threatened to release the year-old photo -- which reportedly showed the girl bound to a chair and gagged. According to court papers, Kaia said that a former nanny took the picture as part of a "cops and robbers" game they were playing.

The suspect will appear before a judge Tuesday to determine his current detention.

You people have no idea what screening Cindy and Rande did, you have no right to judge. The comment of "where was Cindy Crawford when her nannu was tying her child to a chair blindfolded". Are you kidding me!? Last time I checked, the reason why you hire a nanny is to watch your kids when you are away. I'm guessing you have hired a babysitter or have been babysat at some point in your life, were you or your parents home then? No I didn't think so. I think people should give Cindy and Rande the benefit of the doubt, I hope they had no idea what this Nanny was like and that they did do extensive backround checks.

Okay, how did Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber screen this nanny? Did they run a background check? You can't always predict what someone will do once they're hired, but it seems like they didn't do much screening. Just curious.

Where was Cindy Crawford when her nanny was tying her child to a chair blindfolded? Thank God I had normal parents, who cared more about me than their career.
