  I find it very funny that Jon has all these complaints about chid labor laws now. If he was really concerned about it why didn't he do something at the start of the show? Why wait until he is off the show and no longer making money off his kids? Once again with Jon it is all about the money and not about the kids. Shame on you Jon.

  We all have opinions about Jon and Kate, but TLC should not be there stirring the pot. They need to let the divorce play out without trying to sue Jon. TLC just comes across as an inconsiderate, heavy handed big corporation just concerned with the financial bottom line. I wish the family court judge could figure out a fair agreement for the kids then Jon and Kate.

  I hope TLC lawyers prove that Jon had no prospects for a job as a celebrity of any type. If they research some consumer product companies and the public I think they can clearly show that there aren't any serious companies who want Jon to endorse their product/service -- and that the public's attitude him prohibits him from being a 'tv personality' -- gainfully employed via endorsements and celebrity appearances. And, Jon, if you are serious about being a father, why on earth are you smoking? And treating your body like cr@p? And etc...? That means you might not be around for them and that's a terrible way to show your kids you love them and you want to be around for them and be healthy. Jon, you can't even succeed as a good dad -- and the image that says 'good dad'. You've ruined your brand and you better think about what ELSE you can do to pull your family together and care for them financially and emotionally. That means NOT thinking about YOU, but REALLY thinking about them. I think you'd show a lot of class if you shut up and quit the paid tabloid TV and paid photos/magazine interviews trashing the mother of your kids and instead showed how humble you are by going back to some regular job in IT. You've ruined your life and your good name. At least try to salvage your precious children who are really a blessing.

  I think TLC will one day regret having ever met Kate Gosselin. She surely encouraged the kids' interacting with the camera, being "interviewed", etc. Surely she was all for having her precious children rehearse and deliver at least SOME lines, for example, introducing each episode. TLC probably thought it was easier to let her do what she wants.

At times they interacted with the camera after having been prompted to do so. They "interviewed"...Ad lib performances are still performances. The law states that both the parent/guardian and the employer of the minor are required to sign the permit applications. The employer is also required to keep copies of the permits on file. A contract between the parents and the producer can not cancel those laws. I hope the Department of Labor and Industry reams them, and good.

  Before Kate Gosselin met Jon, she was engaged once, to Adam Miller. They met when she was 18 and he was 17. She loved him for the gifts of jewelry he gave her. They became engaged after Kate pressured him to marry her. (Not our Kate?!) But she dumped him when something better came along.
