  I agree that if her father wants to reach out to her he should do it privately. I do think he is right though. She looks terrible. She needs to seek help before she kills herself by denying she has drug and alcohol issues.

  Hard to believe she is only 23, she looks a lot older than that, and I don't mean that in a good way. Oddly, she looks like an older woman (40's) who is trying to look younger. The blonde hair is too harsh, red was better. Hard living is kicking her looks to the curb...

  It is messed up that a father would voice his concerns so publicly... but if she would just stop being a hot mess, maybe people wouldn't be so quick to believe all the things he says about her.

  Her parents may be partially to blame. But she is an adult now and she needs to want to help herself. It is time to grow up and NOT be like her parents. She needs to move far away from both of her parents to get her life on track. Her father is more into himself and getting as much media time as he can. And her mother is an enabler. She wants to be Lindsey's BFF instead of her mother. I hope she can get some help from someone who really cares about her.

  lindsay's behavioral problems sprung from bad parenting. the parents are to blame. they didn't lead her down the right path and set her head straight. i feel sorry for her. she's still talented in my mind. life isn't perfect, she's not perfect. cut her some slack.

  This is so sad. Lindsay was so vibrant and full of life and had such a bright future. How awful it is that just a few short years later she looks older than me (I'm in my late 30's) and has no prospects other than "appearance fees" and parties she shouldn't be attending anyway. I wish she could really see how bad it is and get healthy. Both of Lindsay's parents are unfit. They should be ashamed of themselves for what they'd both done to this girl.

  Lindsay looks so degraded looking and acting. Her father and the rest of us see that. Why she can't see it, I have no idea, but she does not look healthy. She is 23 and looks so old. She used to be so ethereal and gorgeous. I am not interested in bashing her. I feel for her trials and tribulations. But, it is time to wake up and smell the coffee like we all do at one point or other in our life. Her choices have led her to a very degraded state; and, her father and us out here can see it. Her words are pretty meaningless when you look at her and see her actions. Being off drugs isn't the only solution. You can be around very destructive people who suck the life out of you and someone looks like they are having their toll on Lindsay. I feel for her. She had a very bright future. I hope she still does. I hate to see anyone end up so degraded. I hate watching it happen in front of my eyes as I am sure her father hates to see too.

  Her father may be a publicity-seeking douche, but he's clearly right about her drug-use and what's happened to her. The girl needs to be locked away in an intensive rehab facility for at least a year. At least the father is being honest about her drug problems. Her mother has never seemed to accept it and she's putting her other daughter on the same track.

  Lindsay is always skirting around the true issues at hand. Her father is trying to help her. She is a mess and hasn't any redeeming qualities. She needs to get her sorry butt together and stop slamming her father in the tabloids.

  Dina and Michael Lohan really deserve to publicity at all, so why are there stories being published about them? Just because there kid is famous for drinking constantly and going in and out of rehab every two days doesn't mean they deserve anything
