Get ready for some “Flava In Ya Ear” because Bad Boy Records had the reunion to end all reunions on Sunday, June 28, at the 2015 BET Awards. The lengthy performance featured the company’s founder Sean “Diddy” Combs rapping some of his biggest hits like “I Need a Girl: Part 2” and “It’s All About the Benjamins.”
The rapper and mogul, 45, was joined on stage by a series of Bad Boy artists including Mase, 112, French Montana, and Faith Evans, with a special tribute to the late Notorious B.I.G. The crew sang B.I.G’s hit “Mo Money Mo Problems,” but avoided the slower-tempo “I’ll Be Missing You.”
Chart-topping singles like 112’s “Peaches and Cream,” Mase’s “Feel So Good,” and Evans’ “Love Like This,” got the star-studded crowd on their feet, as the celebs, including Rihanna, Brandy, and Gabrielle Union, danced and sang along.
The audience roared when Lil’ Kim popped up from a trapdoor (the same one Diddy fell into earlier in the evening).
To wrap up the medley of hits, Diddy and Pharrell Williams performed their new song, “Finna Get Loose,” as Chris Brown and Janelle Monae danced to the beat on stage.
Bad Boy Records was founded by Diddy in 1993 and is distributed by Interscope Records.
